L'Etape Edmonton by Tour de France was a great trip. Deven Stewart placed 3rd in his age group. Blair Drader finished 2nd in his age group. Mike Gavelis finished 2nd place overall on the KOM for the event earning the polka dot jersey. Brian Zulkoskey was having a brilliant race until a crash in the group, along with Alberto Contador, took him out of the race. He is ok, but disappointed.
The team spent a lot of time learning the course, re-learning the course after adjustments were made, and making sure that everyone had what they needed to put in a good performance for HPL Cycling and Saskatchewan.
Event day ran smoothly and there were a number of other Saskatchewan cyclists who placed top 10 in their age groups. Congratulations to all!
